what hell would be like

today on a online multiples group i am a part of someone who has two singletons under 5 and a set of twins who turned 2.. she is expecting another set of twins. seriously this is my worst nightmare, my biggest fear, the thing that makes me want to barf just thinking about.. and people are congratulating her and so excited..
i get this alot when people ask "if we are done" like life will be over once you stop having kids. i usually say "we'll probably have one more" and then they always look at me with this sly smile and say "or maybe another set?" seriously could you be any more insensitive.. could you really hate me that much that you would wish that upon me. don't get me wrong i am happy with my twins and i love them but there is only so much one person can handle. so don't say it, don't even think it for fear that your thoughts will escape into the atmosphere and jinx me....
oh and on a unrelated issue i have had to put my comment moderation back on because of a stupid spammer i have had.. sorry but you'll have to put in those stupid codes.

Hey,
My Grandpa came from a family of like 11 and in it they had 3 sets of twins! My great grandmother must have been amazing! Just remember, whatever were to happen in the future you'd be just fine! :) Though I'm sure a family like my grandpa's is very uncommon! :) My hat's off to all moms out there, and an extra cudos to mother's of multiples! And, you've almost made it through the really hard bits (at least as far as the baby part, I'm sure the teenage part will be interesting for us all!) Noah is two now and from about 21 months on it got A LOT easier!

I can't even imagine. Your boys are so cute, but I don't have to live with them everyday and try to keep up with everything they need. You truly have an intense job as a mother!

Hey, I drove past your house last night, because my brother and sister-in-law bought a lot on your bay. They bought one of the corner lots, and we decided to go check it out.

OH Heather -- I hope I've never been that insensitive...I know how you feel, and I know how unbelievably unbearable it might be. BUT, God knows best. He knows what will work for you. He sees your future...thank goodness we don't. Or we'd never get ourselves into any of these situations ;)

When my husband told a friend of ours that we are having twins he said that he guessed we were done having kids after this. Statistically it is a higher percentage of people who do not have any more kids after having twins. Probably because they are afraid of this very thing! :)

I'm sure you are probably talking about me! LOL

I think in some ways it is probably good that I had a 3-yo and a 1-yo when my twins were born. I'd already been through the first year and all of those struggles. The lack of sleep didn't bother me as much. I think it was harder going from 1 to 2 than from 2 to 4.

Having your first baby turn out to be BABIES has probably been more of an adjustment. I can't imagine...

But I'm still feeling incredibly blessed. My first set of twins is only 21 months and yeah, the thought of another set is terrifying. But God wouldn't give me more than I can handle, right? I mean, if Jon & Kate can do it with 8 than I can handle 6 I hope! I am very scared but I still feel grateful and excited and I think you would too if it happened to you. I've just had to accept that God's plan is perfect and He's in charge. If He trusts me to have 2 sets of twins then who am I to argue? :)

Now see, if I were to get pregnant again I would hope for another set of twins. Their relationship with one another is so amazing that I would want a other children I had to also have that kind of built in companion. Vive la diffferance!
