vicious

today i had my first glimpse at vicious.
we bought one of those soft chairs at the multiple sale awhile back.. the boys really like it. so i decided to be a smart mom and buy another one so that they would each have one to sit in. sensible right? i thought so. off we went to walmart and found not only a soft chair but a bright red one with cars on it. i thought it was great. we got home and chaos ensued. of course i should have seen it coming.. come on when your two who wants a yellow winnie the pooh chair when there is a shiny bright red cars chair... well poor noah beat ari to it and if he would have known i am sure he wouldn't have ran for it so quickly. ari jumped on top of him and all of a sudden noah was screaming (not just annoyed screams but more) i ran over and pried ari off noah only to see that ari had left evidence of his anger on noah's arm. deep bite marks. it took me almost half an hour to calm him down. he was traumatized. needless to say ari spent a fair amount of time in his crib. my mom said i should have bit him back....

Wow! Your life is not dull. Is that the first time anyone's bitten?

I had to laugh at your mom's comment! ;) But I am sure at the time it was no laughing matter!

Wouldn't it be great if they didn't know that the cars chair was "cooler"? How are kids born with that imprinted into their beings? What will you do with the chairs now??

That is horrible. Poor Noah! Poor mommy! We had a boy at a daycare I used to work at who was a biter and it only stopped when his mom started to bite him back. Maybe your mom isn't so far off? I don't know. I dread that day!

oh Heather...biting isn't a good one...hopefully it was a one time only incident. Your mom could have been on the money ;)

Oh goodness- we saw this happen yesterday when I realized that our youngest didn't have a bike his size to ride around with his older brothers. Although they are not twins, my oldest are 1 year apart and just having three boys... well, we have to have three of everything! So, when I came home with a new Hotwheels Big Wheel we realized that we just might have to go back for two more... ugh!

It's actually considered child abuse to bite a child & the state can take kids from parents b/c of it. I had it happen to a mom of a child in my home daycare when we lived in pensacola.

They will grow out of it. My 3 & 5 year olds have. My 10 month old bit me this am...

My daughter who is 2 1/2 bit her bro who is 3 1/2 a couple times. The first time I scolded her and talked with her telling her that it was bad of her to do it etc, the second time it happened I spanked her[ spanking is NOT child abuse if you use common sense!] Needless to say the biting has stopped.
